It seems as though Usarae and her husband’s move to Thamesmead was in preparation of the 2020 to 2021 Covid-19 lockdown as they managed to renovate their house just before the pandemic. The squirrel acted like their guardian angel and seems to pop out whenever they are around Southmere Lake. I decided to stitch onto felt as it is made by pressing fibres together and this represents how Usarae and her husband integrated or connected with the peaceful nature around their new house during the lockdown period.
