My nan and grandad were one of the first residents to move into a newly built Howden Close, my mum was brought up in the house and my brother and I as grandchildren would constantly be in and out of their home. Here, my nan talks about how she came about moving into her home through help of the GLC and no deposit mortgages. My mum speaks about her memories of playing on the site before the houses were in development and I recall my memories of playing in crossways park, behind her home, with tennis rackets that my grandad bought.
