I live in a small part of Abbey Wood sandwiched between the railway and the grey buildings of Thamesmead.
A few years after moving here my husband died.
I was very depressed and everything seemed to be grey but one day coming down the hill towards Abbey Wood station the sky was lit by a beautiful double rainbow. It brightened the estate and brightened my mood and I began to feel hopeful.
Since then I have always looked out for Thamesmead’s rainbows.
Situated in a large valley by the river the rainbows are particularly beautiful.
So remember there is always hope.
