We lived in Thamesmead for 50 years and used to go to the golf club and sociable club.
The main aim was to watch football in the bar and it was a great place to spend time with other men.
It was a remote and spacious place to enjoy. There is no place that is open till late anymore, we have to go outside Thamesmead for this now.
