The One O’clock Club

This is my attempt of how I remember the one O’clock club, I would spend all my free time there it was just across the road from my house in Hartslock drive. It was a bit like a very rough adventure park made from old wood and six inch nails. This is a collage of the platforms we would run along and jump from one to the other or swing off the ropes. Places like this would not be allowed now because of health and safety but we had such a great time. These were the days before playstation, Xbox and mobile phones. Every now and then if you did something you shouldn’t of done your mum would know before you got home, I had the best childhood growing up on Thamesmead from the age of 8 and still here 50 years later.
