Wonderous foraging on the Ridgeway – Hawthorn Berry ketchup time!

We love going for walks in Thamesmead and looking at the ever-changing seasons, plants and their new growth. During Lockdown 2020 we spent a lot of time walking on The Ridgeway towards the Thames Path and found a recipe for homemade Hawthorn Berry Ketchup which we made. Lots of effort (the berries have hard seeds or pips to remove) but a rather wonderful taste like a fruity HP sauce and all homemade and a great souvenir from our walks on The Ridgeway.
